Playing It Cool

This beautiful shot by Annie Leibovitz, from an editorial entitled 'Playing It Cool' featured in the September issue of Vogue US has fuelled my excitement for my favourite season, Autumn/Winter. Style-wise it's my favourite season as I have mentioned on here before- knitwear, hats, boots, layering, rich colours are all reason why I love it so much. I have an absolute true love and passion for coats, so this picture, as beautiful and striking as it is, really made me wish for Autumn to begin as soon as possible!

Fire Starters

Here are some truly beautiful pictures from an editorial entitled 'Fire Starters' from the August issue of Vogue US. Starring Florence Welch, Domnhall Gleeson, Jessica Chastain & Madison Stubbington, styled by Grace Coddington and photographed by Annie Leibovitz. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks each of these pictures would have made great cover photos too. Pity that an editorial this perfect was just another editorial and not a cover story which would have been great to see Vogue US do something interesting for once and celebrate talented and successful stars and not just choose some celebrities for attention and publicity on their covers that don't really deserve a cover. 'The Towel Series'

This is such a beautiful picture of Natasha Poly shot by Mario Testino for his Instagram-exclusive picture series entitled 'The Towel Series'. I'm a huge fan of black and white photography, a fan of Mr. Testino and also of Natasha Poly, so this pictures is pretty much perfection to me.

Numéro #154 June/July 2014 / Sasha Luss

I absolutely adore this editorial from Numéro Magazine June/July issue, which is one of the 3 cover stories. Starring Sasha Luss and photographed by Daniel Sannwald and styled by Samuel Francois, which happens to feature one of my absolute favourite things- flowers. The close-up shot with the orange poppies is truly stunning and the whole editorial is beautifully simplistic with an eclectic, fantasy like feeling. A breathtakingly simplistic and beautiful editorial from W Magazine's May issue. I am an absolute fanatic of black & white photography it is so utterly timeless and classic and of course it's a recipe for success when the photographer is Mr. Demarchelier. Everything about these pictures is perfection and exactly why I love black & white photography not to mention Anna is giving me major Brigitte Bardot vibes.

Picture Perfect: Céline F/W 2013 Ad Campaign

So, as pretty much all the ad campaigns for the F/W '13 Collections are gracing all our favourite magazines as of now I always love to see what direction fashion houses and the top photographers take each collection and bring it to life in the campaigns. Céline have taken a simplistic approach to their campaign for the past few seasons and I will say I haven't liked the campaigns as a whole, but I have liked one or two pictures from each one, which brings me to the reason behind this post. I absolutely LOVE this picture from Céline F/W '13 campaign, featuring model Daria Werbowy and photographed by Juergen Teller. What makes it so stunning for me is the mixture of textures, the beautiful colours in the tiles as a backdrop, those incredible boots (which were one of the best accessories to appear from the F/W '13 Collections but my only negative comment really is that Daria's makeup could have been a little more polished, instead of making her look like she has tired eyes- not good. Next season though I would love to see Céline take a new more interesting route with their ad campaign as it's well overdue.

Picture Perfect: Anja Rubik for Vogue Paris

This picture stood out for me and the moment I saw it I thought 'WOW', Anja Rubik looks breathtaking. The picture is from an editorial she is in for Vogue Paris June/July Issue and was photographed by Mario Sorrenti, one of my absolute favourite photographers. I love the free-woman, natural, minimalistic, candid feeling of the picture and all those elements are what make it a great photo, Oh and Anja's flawless beauty.

Picture Perfect: Kate Moss by Mario Testino for VOGUE Paris

This is such a stunning shot of Kate Moss for VOGUE Paris (April '13 Issue), I mean look-at-her- it's like a picture straight from the archives of the 1940/50's. I always have a strong love for the classic pairing of Kate Moss and Mario Testino because the photographs they produce are always memorable and this one is no different. I could have featured all of the pictures fro this editorial but I just loved this one the most and wanted to feature it alone, obviously it deserves it! Enjoy.
