Vera Wang - Spring 2013 Collection

Vera Wang's SS'13 collection was not only my favourite collection from New York Fashion Week, but it was also my favourite collection from Vera Wang for quite a few seasons. India was Wang's starting point for her Spring collection, but she didn't go literal on her references more took influence from the colours, textures, prints, embellishments and opulence of the Indian culture, and it was stunning. The colour palette to start was neutral with the first quarter of the collection in all white, then the colours came through and came through rich with; azure blue, royal blue, navy, violet, emerald green, chartreuse, then came the gold. I find it hard to pick a stand-out look from this collection that is how spectacular it was, but there are a few looks i favour more than others, but that only comes down to personal taste and what i would wear personally, each look is equally as stunning as the next in this collection (but I did cut down the collection to my favourite picks- all 30 of them!). Magnifique.

Joan Smalls, 032c Magazine Fall-Winter 2012

I am in love with this editorial from 032c Magazine's Fall/Winter '12 issue because it's utterly stunning, and also becasue I found myself Oohh-ing and Ahh-ing at each picture (it's been a while since an editorial has had that effect on me). Entitled "Explicit Nature" the fashion ed features pictures that are strong, natural, modern and very unique, which helps really when you have a model with a jaw-dropping natural beauty as Joan Smalls has, showing us all exactly why she deserves her number 1 model in the world title. This ed was photographed by Sean & Seng and was styled by Mel Ottenberg. Most definitely my favourite editorial in quite a while. Enjoy!
