W Magazine May '14 / Anna Ewers / Patrick Demarchelier

A breathtakingly simplistic and beautiful editorial from W Magazine's May issue. I am an absolute fanatic of black & white photography it is so utterly timeless and classic and of course it's a recipe for success when the photographer is Mr. Demarchelier. Everything about these pictures is perfection and exactly why I love black & white photography not to mention Anna is giving me major Brigitte Bardot vibes.
Featuring Anna Ewers, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier and hair styling by Guido Palau.

Céline / Fall '14 Handbags / Wish-List

As we head closer to the Summer months that means the Fall collections are starting to appear for pre-order[s]. One website that has their Fall collection online is Céline and as a handbag-girl that's what I went straight for and fell in love with two new designs by the brand for next season. The first one 'Pocket handbag Seashell smooth calfskin' and the 'Coin handbag nappa lambskin' in burgundy and in black. Burgundy is always one of my favourite Fall colours and it is going to be a popular colour for the two latter seasons this year, yay! Now lets get back to Summer- just around the corner.

Look at these pretties-

The Best Dressed / Met Gala 2014

Monday in New York night saw the 2014 Met Gala bring the glamour and fashion elite to town. This years gala was all about kicking off this years Metropolitan Museum of Art's Exhibition which is celebrating master couturier Charles James who is considered to be one of the best Haute Couture designers who in his time made some of the most breath-taking sculptural gowns and tailoring. So taking all that into consideration and the fact that Oscar de la Renta was a co-chair of the gala benefit, who in my eye is the modern day king of ball gowns and evening wear and the intvite said 'white-tie and decoration' - I would instantly think the theme for the evening would be old Hollywood glamour with plenty of these beautiful ball gowns I have spoken of because how often does one get to dress up in a ball gown? Well sadly not everyone took the theme into consideration which I have to say annoys me every year, because if I was to be invited to the Met Gala I would fully embrace the theme and I feel more should do so [mini rant over]. Saying that, this year was one of the most disappointing fashion-wise as there wasn't as near as many ball gowns, sparkle or old Hollywood glamour that I wished there was going to be and after seeing the attendees I didn't have a clear favourite by the end just a few that I liked. My favourites were the ones who fully embraced the theme like Liu Wen, Dita Von Teese, Karolina Kurkova (my favourite who always brings her A+ game every year) and Arizona Muse. I did however love a lot of the looks of the night even though I didn't think they suited to the event intended that doesn't stop me from thinking the looks were dramatic and beautiful. So here's who and what I liked-
