Jason Wu - Spring 2013 Collection

Lace and leather- that was the dominant force throughout Jason Wu's Spring 2013 collection, both were a strong singular feature and both were paired together in other looks. The entire collection was sexy, there is no denying that but it was two types of sexy- androgynous sexy and feminine sexy but when both are married together it creates super sexy, and in a way shouldn't work but it did, and that is a good thing for Jason Wu. For me I love the androgynous look (I do occasionally cross over to the more 'girly' side) so my favourite looks in this collection are the tailored pieces. But my absolute standout look from this collection (which I think should have been the closing look, but sadly wasn't) is the very last look I'm showing here- an evening gown with embellished nude halter-neck bodice with full bodied black tulle skirt held up with fine black leather straps, is in my word- genius.

Kimberly Ovitz - Spring 2013 Collection

I said I was going to share as many of my favourite collections from New York Fashion Week (NYFW) as I could (even though it has now finished and we are now on to London Fashion Week, but here we go! I'm starting with Kimberly Ovitz's pure and simple Spring 2013 collection. The palette for the collection was black, white, nude, a pop of cerulean blue and heather grey. Simple silhouettes were a prime focus, with plenty of draping, fluid fabrics, layering and transparency, body-con dresses were a feature too. It is a really pretty collection, full of good individual pieces that could be worn again and again but with a different mix each time. I do wish the models were wearing shoes, as I think the collection would have been really strong with flat shoes and some of the looks with high heel shoes. Either way it was a collection I liked, here are my choice of looks from the collection.

Kati Nescher- Vogue Germany October 2012 Issue

Well this stuh-ning cover certainly caught me eye from Vogue Germany's October issue, the cover and featured editorial was photographed by Camilla Akrans and modelled by Kati Nescher. My favourite picture from the editorial is the one where Kati is wearing the brown pencil skirt suit, and she is leaning over the barriers of a balcony, its flawless. Enjoy..
