Altuzarra - Spring 2013 Collection

Wow this past week has flown by so quickly, each day I was meaning to post something new but time was flying by too quickly so lets hope next week goes by a little slower! So I guess you all know by now that the Spring 2013 collections are in full swing, with New York Fashion Week (NYFW) currently about half way through, finishing on Thursday. I am going to try my hardest to put up as many of my favourite shows as possible, even though it can be difficult at times with there being so many shows to go through. So this post I'm showing my favourite looks from Altuzarra's stunning SS'13 collection.

This collection by Altuzarra is my favourite of the NYFW SS'13 collection shown so far. I love the mix of luxe with casual, which when done right as it is here by Joseph Altuzarra, it is flawless. Strongly featured is a modern and feminine take on a man's old-fashioned canvas workwear jacket in various shapes and silhouettes, textures and neutral tones of railroad stripes, stone grey's and beiges. When said style jackets are paired with fitted pencil skirts, slim leg trousers on bottom and different styles of pinstripe shirts with crisp white collars along with scarf-like wrapped skirts with gold chain fringing- marry the perfect combination of casual/luxe. The evening/cocktail looks were my absolute favourite, each of the looks were not without a trailing gold chain fringe, embroidered silks, lavishly bejewelled fabrics. Some looks, especially the last 5 or so looks had all three- embroideries, lavish embellishments and gold fringing all upon beautiful fabrics draped and wrapped in silhouettes which created the illusion almost of a modern day Arabian goddess- with killer heels by Gianvito Rossi.

Natasha Poly - Allure Russia September 2012

This is such a stunning magazine cover from Allure (Russia), with the beautiful Natasha Poly making that cover as stunning as it is. As far as my opinion goes, Natasha deserves the title supermodel because, well- look at her! I don't think I've ever seen a bad photo of her and she's always at the top of her game, she's flawless. Shopping: New Finds at H&M

I had a notion to take a browse on H&M's website today as it feels like a long time since I did so, seeing as it's just as easy to head to the nearest store to shop. Of course I found some lovely pieces that would either make for great A/W staple items for your wardrobe or great all-year-round pieces, all easy to wear and easy to mix and match.
