Red Carpet: Karolina Kurkova at The Cannes Film Festival 2013

This is going to a very short and sweet post pretty much because I absolutely LOVE this look and Karolina. She is wearing a dress from Balmain Pre-Fall '13 collection and I will say I wasn't a fan of this collection as it was a bit Star Trek meets MC Hammer but, Karolina is completely winning me over with this dress. Karolina looks incredible and effortless and my god her legs go on for days, wow. I love.

Cannes Film Festival 2012 - Nicole Kidman & amfAR Ladies

So, I have more than one favourite look from yesterdays happenings at The Cannes Film Festival. The amfAR annual Cinema Against Aids had quite it's usual stylish attendees, a few of them serve as my favourite looks from Cannes, the only one not from the amfAR gala was that of Nicole Kidman who was attending the premiere of The Paperboy. So here we go...

Nicole Kidman wearing a Lanvin gown and Cartier jewellery.

Karolina Kurkova wearing Roberto Cavalli (from the SS12 collection)

Natasha Poly wearing an Emilio Pucci gown (from the FW12 collection), Emilio Pucci clutch and Azzedine Alaia shoes.

Lily Donaldson wearing a J. Mendel gown (from SS12 collection), Jimmy Choo shoes.

Isabeli Fontana wearing Versace.

Doutzen Kroes wearing a Versace dress (from the FW12 collection), Azzedine Alaia clutch.

Nina Dobrev wearing an Elie Saab dress (from the SS12 collection), Jimmy Choo shoes, Bulgari jewellery.

Even though Nina looks absolutely gorgeous, I can't help but dislike those silver shoes with the dress, I feel it makes it look a bit showgirl. A coloured or neutral sandal would have been much better I would have chosen either one of these...

The colours in this Jimmy Choo sandal would compliment the colour of Nina's dress without attracting away was from it, and jewellery or a clutch bag of similar tones could have been chosen to pick up the colours in the shoe.

Or I would have chosen this neutral Giuseppe Zanotti sandal which would also flatter the colour blue of the dress, I just feel the silver is cold against the blue, and doesn't breathe any life into the overall look making it look old fashioned and dated. Just saying!
