Monday's Must Have

Starting a new feauture today, Monday's Must Have where I will be sharing beautiful things worth coveting from all types of price ranges. So for this weeks must-have it's a little bag porn for you all, the 'Pandora Acrylic Micro Box Bag' in black from Givenchy, and it is quite the little beauty if I say so myself. It would make the perfect everyday bag for F/W and would fit the few handbag essentials needed when you're out and about.
I want.

Givenchy Spring/Summer 2014 Ad Campaign

This, the first shot from Givenchy's S/S ad campaign has been trending today and I have to say I'm liking what I see and can't wait to see more. Photographed by Mert & Marcus, creative director Riccardo Tisci and featuring Erykah Badu and new girl [Eboni] Riley who I expect massive things from in the future, supermodel in the making? We'll have to wait and see.

Double Take - ZARA v Givenchy

Designer items are a little out of price range for a lot of people around the world and some have the pleasure of buying many a designer item but for a lot of people including myself it's rather pleasing to sometimes come across a designer lookalike whether it be clothing, shoes or jewellery at a fraction of the price of the real thing. Which brings me to this post, a bag I noticed on ZARA's website the other day which made me instantly think of the 'Obsedia' bag from Givenchy. Yes, the ZARA bag doesn't have the metal cross and ring style emblem that is associated with the 'Obsedia' but it does have a similar cross on the fold over. The one thing that would make you excuse this minor difference in the price tag- the ZARA bag is an affordable £39.99/€49.95/$79.90 and the Givenchy 'Obdesia' is on average £1,200. That is some difference.

Handbags: Givenchy Fall-Winter 2013 Collection

As Givenchy is one of my favourite designers, the moment I saw their handbags for the Fall/Winter 2013 collection my heart went aflutter. These are just a few of my favourites from the collection and the colour tone is predominantly neutral with hints of leopard print and just one brief pop of colour within my choices, that of the 'Pandora' bag in a vibrant floral print. Other stand-outs for me are the beautiful navy blue 'Lucrezia' duffel and the blush colour 'Nightingale' satchel- those have instantly been added to my F/W wishlist. For now though, these beauties will just have to be something nice to look at!

Handbags - Fall/Winter 2012 Wishlist

Every season once all the collections are shown, style.com do an accessory report which previews the seasons most essential accessories that will be available from each designer. This report is something that I look forward to every season, for the main reason that I love accessories (who doesn't!?) and also because I fall in love with A LOT of the featured accessories so much that it was a massive struggle for me to make the list of handbags I'm about to show you small enough that you wouldn't get bored half way through! So here's my favourite handbags from the Fall/Winter '12 collections, all on my wishlist (along with many more not featured here!). I will be featuring some more wishlists over the next few days for shoes, jewellery etc. so stay tuned for those. P.S. This would definitely be one of my dream jobs making this report and getting to pick all of the accessories to be shown, that would be amazing!

Givenchy Haute Couture Spring Summer 2012

Riccardo Tisci designs yet another beautiful collection for Givenchy and the collection has a modern, raw, casual-couture feel. That meaning everything looks easy wearable, matching hand beaded delicate embroidery and embellishments with jersey vests, leather and weightless tulle and all finished with over sized heavy zips and heavy chains draped across the body. Accessories were leather opera gloves, huge earrings overly decorated with diamonds and crystals, and the unmissable nose rings worn tribally through the middle of the nose. I know I don't get it either as it doesn't fit in with the collection and should not have been included, but it was a clever and modern collection by one of my absolute favourite designers and fashion house- Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy.
My favourites from the collection.
